The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce YouthQuest afterschool program is looking to add to its team of staff members. If you know someone who likes working with children and teens, and would be interested in sharing their expertise with Flint youth, the YouthQuest team is hiring.
YouthQuest is a free, afterschool enrichment program for more than 2,000 K-12 students at 18 school-based sites throughout the Flint Community Schools district. The program reinforces learning that takes place during the school day by offering high-quality activities and services that encourage the exploration of new interests in the areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and the arts, and promotes academic achievement, physical fitness, youth leadership and volunteerism. Team members work directly with students, providing support with lessons, homework and more.
“The YouthQuest program is fortunate to employ some amazingly talented staff who take great pride in making a difference in the lives of our youth,” said Rhetta Hunyady, Vice President, Education and Training, Flint & Genesee Chamber. “Our team doesn’t just help with homework. We help with positive relationship-building techniques, recognize and nurture leadership qualities, and so much more. Plus, we have a lot of fun.”
