As the final TeenQuest session of the 2015-16 academic year nears its end, the students have one last requirement to complete before they graduate: mock interviews.
Scheduled for April 19 at the Mott Foundation Building in downtown Flint, the event will provide the program participants with real-world experience by putting them in front of actual employers and business professionals.
“These students have spent the past several weeks learning about what it takes to get and keep a job,” said Rhetta Hunyady, Vice President of Education & Training at the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce, which administers the TeenQuest program. “These interviews offer them the opportunity to put what they have learned into practice.”
Interviews run from 9:30 a.m. to noon. If you’re a local employer or business professional interested in serving as an interviewer, contact Betty Gilcreast at or 810-397-8813.
