Professional golf returns to Genesee County in September 2018. The Flint & Genesee Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) could not be more excited.
Not only does this bring PGA golf back to Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club with The Ally Challenge, but it also gives Flint & Genesee the opportunity to welcome 50,000 visitors from across the state and region. In addition to the money raised by this charity-driven event, the week-long tournament will provide a tremendous spike in traffic for our county’s restaurants, hotels and other businesses.
The PGA TOUR Champions and The Ally Challenge estimate the tournament will generate $20 million each year, for the three years the tournament is committed to Warwick Hills.
“This nationally-televised event at Warwick Hills will allow us to showcase our communities, as well as the amenities, businesses and residents, proving that our area is truly an emerging destination with plenty to see and do,” said CVB Director Brandon Morgan. “We are grateful for the PGA Tour, Ally Financial and McLaren in their commitment to driving economic and philanthropic investment here in Flint & Genesee.”
Morgan points out that sponsorship and volunteer opportunities are still available for businesses and residents. For more information, please visit The Ally Challenge.
