Nine minority-owned businesses in Flint & Genesee each have been awarded a $15,000 advertising campaign and free commercial as part of Spectrum Reach’s Pay it Forward Local Grant Program. In addition, two companies will receive a $4,000 advertising campaign and free commercial.
The awards are the culmination of Spectrum Reach’s exclusive partnership with the Flint & Genesee Chamber and Saginaw Chamber of Commerce, in which nine minority-owned businesses would be selected to receive complimentary advertising and marketing resources. However, all 11 grants went to Flint & Genesee businesses because the Saginaw Chamber had no applicants.
The local winners are:
- AJP Commercial Shredding, LLC
- Slice Pizza & Pies
- Citizens Statewide Security, Inc.
- Flint Paint Center, Inc.
- GOALS Credit Solutions, LLC
- Lifestyle Benefits
- Forty7 Benefits
- Kevin’s Party Store
- Kinetico CGC water
The two businesses that will receive a $4,000 advertising campaign and free commercial are JMG Connects and Prestige Promotions, LLC.
All of the businesses have been assigned a local account executive partner to guide them through the process. The complete marketing package includes a three-month television advertising schedule (July-September); a free 30-second commercial through Waymark; three-months of support from local marketing experts; access to on-demand educational content; and invitations to exclusive speakers’ series and events.
“We decided that we wanted everyone to win,” said Angela Hayes, field marketing specialist for Spectrum Reach.
