The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is offering its 5-Part Certification Series in Government Contracting again this fall. The series will highlight ways to pursue federal, state and local contracts. The first in the series of seminars, Federal Opportunities 1.0 takes place on Wednesday, October 2 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Flint/Genesee Job Corp in Flint.
Dustin Frigy, Director of PTAC for the Chamber says the certification series provides all of the information needed to pursue local, state and federal government contracts, along with navigating the bid process and developing proposals. He says the comprehensive series provides all of the key elements needed to help businesses take part in the more than $500 billion government marketplace.
“Working with the government can open new doors,” said Frigy. “There are many ways that businesses of all sizes can work with local, state and federal government departments. That’s why this series is important for businesses looking to grow. It provides the strategies needed to successfully navigate the government maze and reveals exactly what they are looking for from contractors. Register for the series and you will learn what it takes to become a successful government contractor.”
Attendees also will learn about the services and support the Chamber PTAC has available to help with the contracting process. The series will benefit management and employees who currently support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.
