Then consider joining a Chamber committee. There are several committees that offer the opportunity to engage in business activities throughout the region.
“Becoming part of a Chamber committee is a great way to network with business professionals from throughout Flint and Genesee County,” said Heather Kale, Director of Member Services for the Chamber. “We appreciate the work that all of our volunteer committee members do on behalf of the local business community and the Chamber. There are leadership and collaborative opportunities for professionals just starting out or those with more experience. We encourage all of our members to become more actively involved.”
There are several ways to share your talents and expertise through the Chamber.
- The African American Advisory Committee addresses the concerns of the African American business community.
- Chamber Ambassadors support the Chamber in a variety of ways, including: networking events, spreading the word about Chamber activities and welcoming new members.
- The Disability Works Committee brings together business and agency leaders in the region to provide a single source of information and support focused on employing people with disabilities.
- The Genesee Regional Young Professionals connect young professionals to support Chamber and philanthropic community projects.
- The Sales Lead Roundtable provides a quick and efficient way to get current and accurate lead information by sharing with others.
- The Women’s Business Committee advocates for women in business, as well as providing support for businesses.
