Flint-Genesee County companies are invited to participate in the construction of a planned urban development on the outskirts of Baghdad in Iraq. The construction opportunities are the result of a Memorandum of Understanding agreement between MICH Development, a consortium of Michigan companies organized by Prima Civitas (PCF) and the National Investment Commission of Iraq.
According to Pat McRae, Director of International Programs for PCF the search is on for suppliers large and small from throughout the state.
“The door is wide open for suppliers in Michigan,” said McRae. “We definitely want to attract as wide of a supplier pool as we can get to respond to this great opportunity for Michigan businesses.”
