It occurred to me that there are only 20 days left in 2012, so before we close the books on another successful year, I want to say thanks to our members. Thanks for your contributions toward rebuilding Flint and Genesee County and thanks for your ongoing confidence and support of the Genesee Regional Chamber.
It has been a year of transition and change for the Regional Chamber; changes such as integrating the Flint-Genesee County CVB into our organization; launching the Shared Services Center; leading a four-county economic development partnership; transitioning and building of our staff to ensure that we are poised to meet our needs today and into the future; and lastly, but certainly not least our youth education programs have become a major bright spot within Michigan and across the country.
Although it has been a year of change, our commitment is as strong as ever to building valuable partnerships; developing workforce skills and resources to meet this region’s challenges and opportunities; bringing economic development opportunities to the region and offering value-added money-saving and networking services.
In 2013, we will stay focused on our strategic plan to drive economic growth and prosperity in the region. Again, we appreciate your continued support, and we look forward to moving the region forward as we work with you, our valued members.
