Later this month, the Chamber will host its Annual Meeting. It’s always an exciting time of the year for us because we meet with our stakeholders, report our progress on our strategic goals, and communicate what’s ahead in 2013. We will also bring exciting news that will challenge the nation and our very own community to think about Flint and Genesee County in a new and different way.
We have a great keynote speaker this year, Dan Gaydou. Dan is the president of MLive Media Group, which produces MLive.com and AnnArbor.com on the web as well as newspapers: The Grand Rapids Press, The Flint Journal, the Kalamazoo Gazette, Jackson-Citizen-Patriot, Muskegon Chronicle, Saginaw News, The Bay City Times and the Advance Weeklies in Jenison.
Dan’s presentation will focus on how the 24-hour news cycle and the proliferation of social, digital and mobile media revolutionized the way they do business and the way their audiences seek news and information. In February 2012, Dan and his team reimagined news publishing and launched an “audience first” business model that brings news faster and fully engages the communities in which they do business.
