Growth opportunities in the region will be the focus as the I-69 International Trade Corridor partners host a Regional Summit on Wednesday, September 18 at the Holiday Inn Gateway Centre from 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The partners, Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce, Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership, Lapeer Development Corporation, Economic Development Alliance of St. Clair County and the I-69 International Trade Corridor Next Michigan Development Corporation will come together with businesses from across the four-county region to discuss economic development along the corridor.
The event will feature presentations by Greg Burkhardt of Duff & Phelps who will provide a site selector’s perspective on How Regions Can Compete; Bernard Swiecki from the Center for Auto Research discussing auto industry trends; and Amy Cell of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and Tracey Worthington of Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy discussing New State Initiatives & Regional Growth Plans.
Those who would benefit from attending the summit include regional businesses, educators, government officials, logistics companies and community stakeholders.
