On December 19, 2010, the Genesee Regional Young Professionals (GRYP) presented Carriage Town Ministries with an $850 check from funds raised through GRYP’s recent Holiday tree initiative. The tree was featured in the downtown Flint DDA Holiday Festival.
“This is a tremendous gift to Carriage Town Ministries,” said John Knickerbocker, Development Director for the faith-based organization. “Throughout the year we offer shelter, food, clothing, education, counseling, and more to those in Genesee County that need assistance. This money will help continue our efforts. We are extremely grateful to the Genesee Regional Young Professionals and the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce for not only their hard work and efforts, but for thinking of our organization.”
GRYP is a membership-based, volunteer committee of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce. It’s geared toward young professionals living and working in Genesee County looking expand their social networks, grow professionally, and make a difference in our region.
