Chamber billboards get attention and promote incentives
No longer Mid-Michigan’s best kept secret, the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce is making sure the community knows what they have to offer— one towering billboard at a time.
“People may not realize the many different ways the Regional Chamber serves businesses and the community. We offer after school programs, incentive packages for businesses and training for employees—most of our services are at no cost,” says Tim Herman, CEO of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce. “It’s exciting to see our new billboards throughout Genesee County. The boards are a great way to get our messages out to potential new members and the community.”
Residents and visitors can see the billboards highlighting the Regional Chamber’s many services, incentives and programs throughout Genesee County. The billboards will rotate over a yearlong period, and focus on the initiatives of the three business units of the Regional Chamber: Membership Services, Economic Development and Education & Training.

YouthQuest is a free after school enrichment program available in Carman-Ainsworth, Flint, Mt. Morris and Montrose school districts. YouthQuest keeps kids safe, engaged and learning after the school day is done.

TeenQuest is a free after school pre-employment and leadership training program that gives teens the skills to ace an interview, land a summer job and achieve their long-term career goals.

Summer Youth Initiative (SYI) helps more than 450 qualified teens find employment each year by providing funding to area nonprofit businesses to hire SYI graduates.

Networking & FREE Lunch
The Member Services business unit of the Regional Chamber is aimed at connecting individuals and businesses in Genesee County to forge mutually beneficial relationships. Member Services also provides savings and benefits to members, from insurance to office supplies. “Lunch Is On Us” is a Member Service’s event where members enjoy a free lunch at a local business, listen to dynamic speakers and network with fellow business professionals in a relaxed atmosphere.
