(FLINT, Mich., Sept. 17, 2024) – Today, the Flint & Genesee Group unveiled the young professionals honored in its 40 Under 40 recognition program. Profiles and photographs of each honoree are featured in the September-October edition of AND, the Group’s bimonthly business magazine.
The class of 2024 recognizes leaders and innovators from diverse backgrounds and industries, including architecture, community and economic development, communications and marketing, education, engineering, finance, health care, law, municipal, nonprofits, and technology.
“We are proud to honor this year’s 40 Under 40 honorees, who range in age from 17 to 39,” said Tim Herman, CEO of Flint & Genesee Group. “Each honoree has demonstrated exceptional leadership in their respective fields, and their efforts are shaping a more successful Genesee County.”
Launched in 2022, the biannual recognition program is designed to shine a spotlight on the county’s dynamic young talent under the age of 40.
This year’s program was open to individuals who live or work in the county and were 39 years old or younger as of Dec. 31, 2024. To be considered for the program, they had to be a business owner, executive, manager, professional, or person with significant influence or involvement in the Flint & Genesee community. And, they had to spend most of their work time in Flint & Genesee or work remotely for an employer headquartered in Genesee County. If employed outside Genesee County, they had to hold a leadership position in a local community organization and/or be a resident of Flint & Genesee.
The community responded with 150 nominations reviewed by a committee of local business and community leaders, including two 40 Under 40 alumni.
