(FLINT, Mich., January 14, 2016) –The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce today announced continued growth in its membership, with 10 area businesses joining the organization in December. These new members represent a wide range of industries and are actively contributing to the success and economic activity of this region.
“We’re pleased to welcome our new members to the Flint & Genesee Chamber,” said Tim Herman, CEO of the Chamber. “They have joined hundreds of business owners and managers working with the Chamber to move the economy forward and make Flint and Genesee County a better place to work, live and play. The businesses include:
- Community Resolution Center (315 East Court St., Flint): A mediation center providing dispute resolution in a confidential setting outside of the courtroom.
- Deluxe Dental (3760 S. Dort Hwy., Flint): A dental practice providing services for both children and adults.
- Digital Doc (6170 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc): A tech store specializing in the repair of cell phones, tablets, laptops, cameras and other electronic devices.
- Dr. Wax Orthodontics (123 N. Bridge St., Linden): An orthodontic practice serving children, teens and adults in Genesee, Shiawassee and Livingston counties.
- Guerra’s Paint & Stain (5407 Thrush Drive, Grand Blanc): A contractor providing pressure washing, wood and concrete staining, basement sealing, drywall repair and epoxy services.
- Ingress Yugen (3467 Flushing Road, Flint): A spiritual resource center and bookstore.
- Mt. Morris Consolidated Schools (100 E. Mt. Morris Road, Mt. Morris): A school district educating approximately 2,100 students annually.
- Republic Waste Services (104 Holiday Drive, Flint): A non-hazardous, solid waste management company providing disposal and recycling services.
- TLC Adult Care (5362 S. Dort Hwy., Flint): An adult care provider offering services that range from grocery shopping and light housekeeping to respite and 24-hour care.
- YWCA (310 E. 3rd St., Flint): An organization providing services in support of its mission, “eliminating racism and empowering women.”
As members of Genesee County’s largest business advocacy organization, these businesses can take advantage of several benefits available through the Chamber, including money saving and insurance programs, business and talent services, networking opportunities, seminars and workshops, and assistance in securing government contracts.
