(FLINT, MICHIGAN – November 26) Are you interested in providing goods or services to the City of Flint or Genesee County? Then plan to join the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce Procurement and Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) as they host a City of Flint and Genesee County Contracting Opportunities 5.0 workshop. The seminar takes place on Wednesday, December 4, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Chamber offices in Downtown Flint.
According to Dustin Frigy, Director of PTAC at the Chamber businesses should consider learning how government contracting can increase growth and diversification. The Flint & Genesee County workshop is the last step in a five-part certification series and the final 2013 workshop. He says the seminar will provide all of the information needed to pursue local and county government contracts, along with navigating the bid process and developing proposals.
“Working with the City of Flint and Genesee County can provide growth opportunities for local businesses,” said Frigy. “The workshop will reveal the nuts and bolts of navigating the government contracting process. This is the last session of our 5-Part Government Contracting Certification series that will no longer be offered after this year. In 2014, we will continue to provide businesses with the strategies needed to successfully work with government departments on the local, state and federal level.”
Attendees also will learn about the services and support the Chamber PTAC has available to help with the contracting process. The series will benefit management and employees who currently support or have an interest in facilitating government contracting within their companies.
There is no cost to participate in the series, but registration is required. The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce is located at 519 S. Saginaw in downtown Flint.
