Keynote Speaker: Dan Gaydou, President, MLive Media Group
(FLINT, MI) The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce will hold its 2013 Annual Meeting on Wednesday, March 27 at the Holiday Inn Gateway on Hill Road. The luncheon event will begin at 12 Noon.
The meeting will highlight the Chamber’s 2012 results, share business success stories and provide a look ahead at focus areas for 2013. We will also bring exciting news that will challenge the nation and our very own community to think about Flint and Genesee County in a new and different way.
This year, Dan Gaydou, President of MLive Media Group will be the keynote speaker. MLive Media Group produces MLive.com and AnnArbor.com on the web as well as several newspapers: The Grand Rapids Press; The Flint Journal; the Kalamazoo Gazette; Jackson-Citizen-Patriot; Muskegon Chronicle, Saginaw News; The Bay City Times and the Advance Weeklies in Jenison.
Gaydou’s presentation will focus on how the 24-hour news cycle and the proliferation of social, digital and mobile media revolutionized the way they do business and the way their audiences seek news and information. In February 2012, Dan and his team reimagined news publishing and launched an “audience first” business model that brings news faster and fully engages the communities in which they do business.
