Space, Inc. and Insight Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience to Benefit
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(FLINT, Michigan – November 8) Flint-area Insight Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience (IINN) and Space, Inc. are among 54 small and midsized companies from across Michigan selected to receive business development support through the Pure Michigan Business Connect Economic Gardening Pilot Program. The Michigan Economic Development Corporation recently announced the selections.
According to Tim Herman, CEO of the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce it is impressive that IINN and Space, Inc. are among the first to benefit from the program designed to help second stage companies grow.
“Congratulations to Space, Inc. and IINN for being selected to participate in this economic gardening program,” said Herman. “As Regional Chamber members, both organizations have availed themselves of the economic development resources available here in the region and now they will have the benefit of the support and tools available through the MEDC. This is a win for our local companies and a win for Flint-Genesee County.”
The program is administered through the Cassopolis-based Edward Lowe Foundation and will provide support in the areas of strategy and management, market research/competitive intelligence, internet and social media strategy and geographical information systems to help identify potential customers in other states.
Pilot program company CEOs will work with a Strategic Research Team for a total of 35 hours. Each company’s engagement is expected to take two or three weeks to complete. The program is the latest addition to the MEDC’s Pure Michigan Business Connect, a $3 billion public-private initiative that provides Michigan Businesses new ways to buy and sell, raise capital and connect with each other through an alliance of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, state agencies and major Michigan companies and organizations.
