Residential sales in Flint & Genesee were down nearly 6 percent in February 2017 from the same period last year, according to the East Central Association of REALTORS®. There were 309 homes sold last month compared to 328 in February 2016.
Meanwhile, the average sales price of homes sold last month rose 11 percent, year-to-year. The average price in February was $123,251 versus $110,993 a year ago. In addition, the February average was higher than January’s average price of $118,297.
Total dollar volume sold year-to-date is $76,321,701.
As of March 8, the number of active listings was off 119 units from January to February, and down 481 units (29.93 percent) from the same time last year.
