Until now, anyone wanting to be part of the Young Professionals group has had to pay annual dues of $50, regardless of their employers’ Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce status.
Going forward, if your employer is a member of the Chamber, there will be no cost 18-40 year olds within member organizations to join Young Professionals. This will give many more people the opportunity to take advantage of the great event lineup the Young Professionals’ committee offers.
“This is a result of the work our entire group has done to raise the overall awareness and value of Young Professionals,” said Dean Keipert, who chairs the Young Professionals group. “In the end, this change will eliminate dues for almost all of our YP members and will also allow us to grow our group over time.”
YP members who paid their dues on July 1, 2015 will see no changes their current one-year membership. Changes for those members will take effect on July 1. If you have questions about when your membership is up, please contact Amber Taylor at .
