Proposals being accepted for Leadership Flint & Genesee capstone project
(Flint, Mich., Oct. 14, 2024) — Leadership Flint & Genesee, a leadership development initiative of Flint & Genesee Education & Talent, launched its 2024/2025 cohort in September with eight local professionals working to hone their leadership skills.
“We are excited to continue the tradition of leadership training in Flint & Genesee with our newest cohort,” says Brianna Mosier, executive director of Flint & Genesee Education & Talent, a division of the Flint & Genesee Group. “Over the next several months, our cohort will attend monthly trainings, receive one-on-one coaching, and develop and complete a capstone project that brings together all the tools they’ll gain through our program.”
A key component of Leadership Flint & Genesee is its community impact project. Each year, cohort members apply what they’ve learned by supporting a local nonprofit organization.
To identify this year’s project, Flint & Genesee Education & Talent has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) open to 501(c)(3) nonprofit agencies in Genesee County. Projects should meet a specific community need, be large enough in scope for active cohort participation, and represent something a nonprofit might otherwise lack the resources to achieve. While the project should go beyond simple fundraising, the cohort will also help raise funds and gather materials needed for completion.
Flint & Genesee Education & Talent encourages local nonprofits to submit proposals. Submissions for the 2024/2025 RFP will be reviewed by a Leadership Flint & Genesee alumni advisory committee, which will select three finalists to present their ideas to the cohort for final selection.
To submit your proposed project, please submit the completed application via email to by or before Nov. 15, 2024.
