About a year and a half ago, the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce along with our partners launched a new brand for Flint and Genesee County – simply referred to as “Flint & Genesee.”
The brand places an emphasis on the ampersand to stress the strength that the two entities have together versus separately.
From the very beginning, the Chamber has communicated that this is not our brand; it is the community’s brand, which means that we need everyone to support it and promote it.
Along with the rebranding, our team worked with an advertising consultant to develop a marketing campaign entitled See what’s possible. Some of you recall the campaign includes TV and radio spots, and print and digital ads.
All of these marketing materials are available for download on the Flint & Genesee Chamber website, in the Newsroom. I encourage our members to use these materials to help promote the great attractions and amenities that are offered in our area.
In addition, the Chamber has a Facebook page of the same name — See what’s possible — that is really catching on. I invite you and your co-workers to “like” the page (click here); and when you do, you will find unique photos of attractions, beautiful scenery, and local happenings and promotion of our national caliber amenities. The information and photos presented are wonderful, positive reminders of who we are, and why it’s great to work, live and play in Flint & Genesee.
The Chamber works every day to promote positive news about our region, but we cannot do it alone. It will take all of us… public and private sectors to work together with the community to market the area.
This message is a reminder that there are many ways that you can get involved. You can follow the Facebook page for starters. We also have a brand communications toolkit that we can send you. These kits offer a good deal of information that can help your organization become a stronger brand advocate. If you are interested in receiving a kit, please send an email to Misty Gower at .
The movement is underway… If you’re already promoting the area, thank you! I would be interested in hearing about it. If not, join us in showing the world who we really are in Flint & Genesee. Start today!
