Certified Tourism Ambassadors

Reaching a superior level of guest service in Flint & Genesee

The Certified Tourism Ambassador Program is the only industry-recognized certification for our nation’s hospitality front line. This national designation is earned by attending a one-day class, where you and your staff can learn to better serve your customers, guests, and any visitor who comes to Flint & Genesee.

Class content focuses on area businesses, attractions, and amenities, building your knowledge of the region’s offerings. This program serves to increase tourism by encouraging all employees and volunteers to turn every visitor encounter into a positive experience, ensuring they will share a positive message about our area and return again soon. The cost for the class is only $30.

Flint Sparks

Put a Spark in Your Volunteer Experience!

The Flint Sparks are goodwill ambassadors for Flint & Genesee. Sparks are volunteers who work directly with the Flint & Genesee Convention and Visitors Bureau to welcome visitors to our community.

At least once a year, the Flint & Genesee Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts a Spark’s Appreciation Program, a thank you for volunteer service.
