Flint Sparks

Put a Spark in Your Volunteer Experience!

The Flint Sparks are goodwill ambassadors for Flint & Genesee. Sparks are volunteers who work directly with the Flint & Genesee Convention and Visitors Bureau to welcome visitors to our community.

Spark activities:

  • Staffing a Visitor Information Center at Bishop International Airport
  • Greeting guests coming into our community on motor coaches and at conventions
  • Answering questions and distributing brochures at information booths
  • Helping with group registration

The Flint & Genesee Convention and Visitors Bureau provide:

  • Training
  • Name badge
  • An official yellow Flint shirt

The Flint Sparks meet:

Schedule:
At 10 a.m. on the last Thursday of every month

Location:
At a Flint & Genesee local facility

More:
At least once a year, the Flint & Genesee Convention and Visitors Bureau hosts a Spark’s Appreciation Program, a thank you for volunteer service. Past programs include a luncheon cruise on the Genesee Belle, tickets to the Chesaning Showboat, a tour of the Mott Applewood Estate and dinner at a local restaurant and a brunch theater.
