To promote health and wellness within the local community, the Commit to Fit! program will kick off the 7th Annual Fall 4 Fitness Challenge at noon on Sept. 29 at the Flint Farmers’ Market.
The business-to-business wellness competition is available free-of-charge to any Flint & Genesee business, organization or community group interested in bringing wellness to the workplace.
Competing businesses will track and earn points for their physical activity, with a daily goal of being active for 35 minutes. Businesses will compete against one another to win awards, including Highest Level of Participation, Highest Level of Goal Attainment and Healthiest Business in Genesee County. Additionally, individuals who reach the challenge of 35 minutes of activity a day for the entire month will be entered into a raffle drawing to win cash prizes, fitness club memberships and more.
The challenge will run from Oct. 1-31. Pre-registration is currently open. To register your business, organization or community group, complete the online business commitment form then sign up for an account on the Commit to Fit! website to track and earn points for your team.
