Today, the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) are hosting an informational presentation about the Michigan Advanced Technician Training (MAT²) system designed to help employers develop a skilled workforce. Flint-area employers looking to train advanced manufacturing workers are encouraged to attend. The session takes place at Mott Community College in Flint.
The session, which runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., will provide details for the IT-Technician and the Mechatronics and Technical Product Design area of the study.
Dr. Thomas Baumann of Orbitak International, the firm responsible for administering the MAT² system, will facilitate both presentations.
