As we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this week, there’s no better time to give thanks to the many people and organizations that support Flint & Genesee Group as we work to strengthen the local economy and create a place where people thrive, and businesses invest and grow.
This work occurs through collaboration with our partners such as investors, funders, members and clients, to pursue improvements in the region’s prosperity, especially in the areas of talent, economic development, workforce development, education and placemaking. Thank you to our partners for all that you offer, both financial and non-financial, advocacy, and expertise. We could not accomplish what we do without you.
There are so many wonderful people in Flint & Genesee who contribute to the richness of the region by building a sense of community and furthering connection, strengthening neighborhoods, and establishing goals that include equity and inclusion criteria in businesses and communities. This year, we were incredibly pleased to highlight some of these individuals through our 40 Under 40 initiative and most recently, the Eighth Annual Art of Achievement Awards.
I, personally, am grateful for these community-spirited professionals and many others for the immeasurable contributions made to improving the quality of life in our region. We are fortunate to live in an area where people so generously share their time, talent and treasure to help the community continue to grow and thrive.
Lastly, but certainly not least, I am so thankful for the contributions of the Group’s board of directors, employees and volunteers who are critical to the organization meeting its goals and objectives, and ultimately meet its mission.
