Career Edge Workshops Offer Help to Job Seekers

There are four more opportunities to attend the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce Career Edge workshops in November. Designed to help adults prepare for the job market, the workshops include: Laying the Foundation, Job Search, Interview Preparation and Keeping a Job. Whether new to the job market, returning to the job market or simply having trouble navigating the job market, these workshops are designed to give participants the skills needed to get and keep a job.

Upcoming workshops are:

November 1

  • 9 a.m. to noon – Interview Preparation
  • 1 to 4 p.m. – Interview Preparation

November 8

  • 9 a.m.to noon – Keeping a Job
  • 1 to 4 p.m. – Keeping a Job

November 15

  • 9 a.m.to noon – Laying the Foundation
  • 1 to 4 p.m. – Job Search

November 22

  • 9 a.m.to noon – Interview Preparation
  • 1 to 4 p.m. – Keeping a Job

Cost for the program is $10 for students (high school and college) per workshop, and $15 for all others per workshop. Participants must pre-register and pay online at www.flintandgenesee.org/careeredge. Scholarships are available, contact   for information.
