Introducing the 220-acre Buick City site. The former home of a General Motors complex, Buick City is part of a more than 400-acre location that can accommodate a large facility or several smaller developments. CSX Rail and adjacent freeway access are among the site’s benefits.
“There are a host of options available at this site,” said Janice Karcher Vice President of Economic Development for the Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce. “Access to a wide range of transportation modes enhances the options for businesses looking for a site rich with infrastructure and opportunities for growth. There are also potential incentives for locating at the site.”
The Regional Chamber Economic Development team coordinates with RACER Trust, the organization that owns and is responsible for sale of the Buick City location. RACER Trust has also received funding for the limited amount of remediation required on the site.
“The Flint & Genesee Chamber of Commerce is a terrific partner in helping to introduce developers interested in Genesee County to RACER Trust properties in this area,” said Patricia Spitzley, Deputy Redevelopment Manager for RACER Trust. “We have a number of great properties in this region, and appreciate the chamber and the community’s support as we position these properties for redevelopment.”
