Academy of Flint to Dedicate New Playground; Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa Shields to Speak

On Thursday, September 20, the Academy of Flint will host a dedication and ribbon cutting for their new K-2 playground.  The dedication takes place at 1:00 p.m.  Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa Shields, Flint Mayor Dayne Walling and the Mt. Morris Township Board of Trustees will participate in the event.

The playground was developed through support from McDonald’s Owner Sam Cox and a $10,000 grant from the Ronald McDonald Foundation.
