Regional Chamber CVB Commissioned Program to Air this Weekend
Flint’s history and the region’s attractions will be on display as the PBS network airs “A 100 Year Celebration” this Saturday, August 4. Regional attractions are the focal point of the program, which airs this weekend on PBS channels across the country. The video, commissioned by the Flint & Genesee Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau, is part of the PBS Great Getaway series.
According to Cheryl DeFrain, Director of the Regional Chamber CVB the series celebrates the region and the many reasons travelers should consider visiting the region.
“We commissioned this video last year and are happy that PBS is airing the program this weekend,” said DeFrain. “I hope the people who see this video will learn something new about the region and consider coming to check it out for a weekend or a week this summer.”
The program highlights the 100 year celebration of Chevrolet and focuses on community events including Back to the Bricks, Bikes on the Bricks and Warrior Dash. Several local attractions including Crossroads Village, Flint Cultural Center and the Buick Gallery are also featured.
